COMPANY HISTORY & STRUCTURE
Our journey started in 2015, when KARST’s founder, Dr. Björn Karst, Dipl.-Kfm. returned to his hometown Hofheim am Taunus, after employment in Asia. The firm’s German location, between Germany’s Capital Market Center Frankfurt am Main, Hessia’s state capital Wiesbaden, as well as its close proximity to Frankfurt airport, supported its growth. In 2017, the office was supplemented by a support center of nationwide operating wage tax support association. As the regulatory landscape concerning data security change rapidly in Europe, clients reported respective demand leading to Dr. Karst’s certification as data security officer, in 2018, and data security auditor, in 2019, respectively. The latter year KARST grew its operations to Bangkok, opening from its office in Chom Thong district. Advice rendered in Thailand spans from corporate and tax to data security and personal client matters. This German-Thai focus was emphasized in 2022 by severing links with the aforementioned German wage tax association, reinforcing its bi-national wage tax advice.
